The Cold War Mission That Started It All
In the height of the Cold War, Naked Snake — the man destined to become Big Boss — is sent into the Soviet Union to escort a defecting scientist, Sokolov. The mission collapses when Snake’s mentor, The Boss — revered as the “Mother of Special Forces” — betrays him, leading to Sokolov’s capture by Colonel Volgin of the GRU.
