Story

The Lifestream is the essence of all life, where everything is born from the planet and ultimately returns to it. However, the corrupt Shinra Electric Power Company exploits this vital energy, using it as the fuel known as “mako.”

After a fierce battle, Cloud Strife, an ex-SOLDIER, along with his allies Tifa, Aerith, Barret, and Red XIII, escape Midgar and set out on a journey across the world. They will ride chocobos across vast, untamed plains, revisit familiar locations, and pursue Sephiroth, the fallen hero. Their journey leads them to “The Forgotten Capital,” a location featured in the original FINAL FANTASY VII.

Meanwhile, Zack Fair, a SOLDIER 1st class, drags his weakened body through the wastelands leading to Midgar, carrying his friend who is on the brink of death due to severe mako poisoning. As Zack fights between life and death, he witnesses a disturbing rift appearing across the sky.

The Shinra Resistance Committee, a powerful faction led by Wutai’s government, declares war. A mysterious group of cloaked figures transports the remains of Jenova, the “Calamity from the Sky,” toward unknown destinations. As the planet faces a growing crisis, ancient guardians called Weapons begin to awaken from the Lifestream.

Meanwhile, Sephiroth’s schemes continue to intertwine the fates of many, and once again, destiny itself is on the verge of being reshaped.
