I belong to the inaugural generation born in a liberated Poland, following 123 years of foreign domination. My upbringing instilled in me the belief that our freedom was secure; however, the onset of World War II obliterated that conviction. We are filled with anger and fatigue, yet we remain resolute. There is a palpable urgency among us to take action and restore our normalcy. My comrades and I perceive our path as singular: to seek vengeance and reclaim independence for our city and nation, or to perish in the attempt. The challenges we face are daunting, yet we stand united as if we are family, fueled by our indomitable spirit and relying on our intelligence and collaboration. The question remains: will our efforts suffice?
